WA Labor to provide more funding for Pilbara Aboriginal organisation

  • Reinforces WA Labor’s commitment to supporting our most vulnerable in the community Julyardi Aboriginal Corporation in South Hedland will receive $3 million for upgrades at their premises under a re-elected Cook Labor Government.

The funding will help provide infrastructure upgrades to improve delivery of services, which are heavily focused on family, children and child safety.

That includes the Target 120 program, which helps to steer young people at risk of offending away from the justice system, as well as the Safe at Home program in Hedland which supports people escaping family and domestic violence to remain in their homes where it is safe to do so.

The $3 million announcement reflects WA Labor’s commitment to supporting vulnerable youth and creating safer communities, while also helping keep victim-survivors of family and domestic violence safe.
