Every Western Australian deserves to feel safe where they live

That’s why the Cook Labor Government has put more police on the street than ever before.

WA Labor has passed the toughest bikie anti-consorting laws in Australia, introduced the strongest firearms and knife laws in the nation, and we're cracking down on the perpetrators of family and domestic violence.

Only Roger Cook and WA Labor have the experience to keep WA communities safe.

Supporting our emergency services

We have more police on the beat than ever before, with a record 783 Police Officers joining the Force in the last financial year.

While in government, WA Labor also introduced and extended Operation Heat Shield and Regional Shield to increase police presence in the community over summer and across regional WA.

And we've created the State's largest ever aerial firefighting fleet, including Large Air Tankers and Blackhawk helicopters to keep more Western Australians safe this Bushfire season.

We're cracking down on thugs and criminals

WA Labor is cracking down on violent offenders including new laws to track FDV perpetrators with ankle bracelets and our laws are backed by more than $500 million for initiatives to stop the cycle of family and domestic violence.

We also introduced the nation’s toughest laws to fight serious and organised crime, including criminalising display of bikie insignia, passed our Protected Entertainment Precinct laws to ban violent thugs from entertainment hotspots.

WA now has the toughest firearms and knife laws in the nation

We make no apologies for protecting our community and only Roger Cook and WA Labor have the experience to keep WA communities safe.
