Bunbury’s coastline will benefit from $2 million of upgrades to improve community access and amenities under a re-elected WA Labor Government.

Funding of $1 million will be allocated to upgrade and improve amenities and paths at the access to Dalyellup Beach, next to the Dalyellup Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

A further $1 million will be used to deliver recreational facilities including footpaths, seating and barbeques at Turkey Point in Bunbury.

The funding builds on existing WA Labor projects in the Bunbury area to make better use of the coastline, including the Cook Labor Government’s Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project with Stage 3 underway and the $34 million Turkey Point Access Road and Bridge.

Comments attributed to Minister for Regional Development and Bunbury MLA Don Punch:

“As a proud Bunbury local, this is another major win for our community as we continue to realise long-running plans to fulfil our potential as a major coastal city."

“We have an incredible stretch of Bunbury coastline, and these investments are so important in helping families and our community to better utilise and access these popular attractions, like Dalyellup Beach and Turkey Point."

“WA Labor will always focus on strengthening our regional communities, and this funding builds on existing efforts already underway to keep doing that, like our Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project and Turkey Point Access Road and Bridge.”
