A re-elected Cook Labor Government will contribute $750,000 to the Shire of Harvey to build an all-inclusive, accessible playground for children with disability at Meriden Park in Harvey.
The addition of a dedicated playground for children with disability will enhance the accessibility of the precinct, which currently has a swimming pool, soccer field and skate park.
The commitment follows strong advocacy from the local community and Shire of Harvey, with the playground included in the Shire’s master plan for Meriden Park.
It further reaffirms WA Labor’s commitment to building a more inclusive WA, where people with disabilities are engaged and supported to participate meaningfully in the community.
