WA Labor commitment to bring Kalgoorlie Health Campus into the future

A re-elected Cook Labor Government will invest $1 million to create a full site masterplan for the redevelopment of Kalgoorlie Health Campus, bringing the facility into the future.

The 106-bed inpatient campus is one of the largest regional hospitals in WA, with emergency, day surgery, cancer care, mental health and allied health services.

The site recently benefitted from a new $6.3 million MRI suite, which was completed by the Cook Labor Government in 2021.

Today’s announcement will see the development of a blueprint to advise Government on the future needs of the campus to support the health of the Goldfields community for decades to come.

The commitment builds on the Cook Labor Government’s strong track record of investment in healthcare across the State.

Since 2021, funding for health and mental health has risen by $14.3 billion, with more than 800 beds added across the system. In addition, the health workforce has increased by more than 30 per cent.
