The investment forms part of the major $745 million program to deliver quality school infrastructure and facilities for Western Australian students, reflecting WA Labor’s commitment to giving WA students the best education.

Comments attributed to Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti:

“School plays such an important role in shaping a young person’s future, and the environment they learn in plays a key part in that.

“That’s why we are committing to do what’s right for WA and continue our record investment in new and improved school infrastructure right across Western Australia.

“Only WA Labor has a plan and vison for continuing to provide world-class education to students in the State.”

Comments attributed to Geraldton MLA Lara Dalton:

“Hundreds of families send their children to both Champion Bay Senior High School and Geraldton Senior High School, so this is a big win for our local community."

“It’s important our schools and infrastructure can continue meeting the needs of our students and keep pace, particularly as our local population continues to grow.”
