A re-elected WA Labor Government will deliver a $16.3 million package to boost paramedic services in the Peel and South-West regions.

The number of paid paramedics will be doubled in Australind and St John will be supported to deliver two new ambulances and a new station.

In Dawesville, the package will help triple the number of paramedics, providing the town with a similar level of professional ambulance services as the Perth metropolitan area.

It will also support St John to deliver two new ambulances and capital upgrades to the station in Dawesville.

It builds on WA Labor’s strong record in boosting this vital workforce, with an additional 34 paid paramedics funded in the metropolitan area in the past two years, plus an extra 41 paid paramedics in our regions with this commitment.
