A re-elected WA Labor Government will invest $130,000 to upgrade facilities at the Eastern Goldfields Kart Club.
The funding will go towards critical upgrades at the track including new kitchen and medical facilities.
The Eastern Goldfields Kart Club is a focal point of the Kalgoorlie community, hosting up to 150 families during the season and as many as 1000 for big race meetings.
A total of $30,000 will go towards updating the club’s 30-year-old kitchen, while $100,000 will go towards new medical facilities.
The critical investment will improve the amenity of the club, allow for additional income at events and improve medical facilities at the track.
The Eastern Goldfields Kart Club has been racing in Kalgoorlie since 1962, managed by Karting Australia.
